IN CHARACTER
Name: Harry Hart
Canon: Kingsman: The Secret Service
Canon Point: After leaving the church in Kentucky and being shot in the head
Age: Mid forties
History: Wikia!
Personality: Harry Hart is, first and foremost, a gentleman. This doesn't mean that he's unerringly polite or that he's outdated, it means that he holds himself to a standard and does his utmost to stay true to it no matter what. His personal motto is “Manners maketh man” and he does his utmost to stay true to that at all times. He's the sort to play it calm and collected even if right beneath the surface he's a hot mess of emotions. Poise is important to him, maintaining the facade of being the person everyone thinks he is. Harry very much values decorum and good manners and expects others to adhere to a certain standard of politeness no matter what their origin is. When pushed he doesn't hesitate to either admonish someone for their failure or simply jump straight to some sort of punishment. He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth but at no point took his privilege as a right to feel superior to those around him. In fact, he gained something of a reputation for picking up lowborn Kingsman candidates that no one else would ever consider.
Harry has repeatedly shown his disdain if not outright contempt for the idea of class and wealth being an indicator of quality. He feels that the Kingsman group itself is suffering for its lack of fresh blood and new ideas, telling Arthur “there's a reason aristocrats developed weak chins”. He looks past the surface for potential and firmly believes that anyone can raise themselves up if they're given the right opportunities in life. What he wants more than anything is to disrupt the status quo within the Kingsman group and change their way of thinking. It's odd to call a man his age rebellious but he pushes at the boundaries of what is allowed as much as he can without getting a slap on the wrist for it.
His humor is very dry and Harry seems to have a sharp response to everything ready and waiting. Even when taken off guard he rolls with the punches quite well in order to keep up a smooth facade. One example of this is when he dines with Valentine; when he's presented with MacDonald's fast food instead of a gourmet meal he simply smiles and suggests a wine pairing with twinkies. To those he meets outside of his work he's quite affable and pleasant to deal with, if having an overly ironic nature. Boiling under that surface is one hell of a temper, though. It is slow burning but once it's unleashed Harry tends to go for explosions to unleash all his frustration in one go. His kindly gentleman exterior is shed in favor of a somewhat foul mouthed lash of anger and violence. Mostly his temper comes out in times of stress, frustration or emotional upsets. It's during these moments that he loses most of his awareness and can make some sort of awful mistake.
Harry expects the best of everyone around him, feeling that all can live up to a certain standard if they really wanted to. Admittedly he's ignorant to many lower class struggles in spite of his open mindedness, making assumptions about why Eggsy gave up so many opportunities in his life only to end up a delinquent. His saving grace is that once corrected he did his best to understand things better and even gave Eggsy the chance to better himself and become a Kingsman agent.
Harry is, despite being a spy, very honest in how he deals with the people around him. If he doesn't like you he doesn't sugar coat it. He doesn't hold back because of status or rank, bluntly telling Arthur that he's a snob for sticking to tradition rather than changing with the times. This also means that when he praises someone it isn't empty words. When he's proud of someone he tells them and when he's dealing with willful ignorance and hate (such as at the church in Kentucky) he makes sure they're aware that he can't stand for them.
Harry has a strong sense of obligation and always tries to repay debts even after almost two decades have passed since the incident. When Lee Unwin sacrificed himself to save the rest of his team it left Harry with a heavy burden of guilt. A capable young man was dead because he had fucked up and missed their captive wearing a grenade vest. He reached out to Lee's family and offered them a no strings attached favor but that wasn't enough in his mind. 17 years later he found himself finally paying back the favor he had promised the Unwin family so long ago by getting Lee's son Eggsy out of some very serious legal trouble. In Eggsy he found something special. A chance at redemption and an opportunity to once again make the point that common born people were just as capable. Unexpectedly he came to be very fond of Eggsy, his feelings of obligation shifting into something closer to paternal feelings.
Abilities/Skills:
-Incredibly skilled at hand to hand combat. Harry is capable of taking on a room full of average fighters without hardly any effort. While he doesn't adhere to any particular style he tends to be rather brutal in his attacks, aiming to take someone out as efficiently as possible. While under the influence of Valentine's rage wave, harry actually proved capable of killing dozens of people with anything he could get his hands on. Though these were special circumstances since he fought with no regard to his own safety
-Advanced weapons combat: name a weapon and Harry has probably used it at one point or another. He's well versed in most forms of firearm as well as blades
-Encryption/decryption skills: Years in the spy game has given Harry a wide array of knowledge regarding how to encrypt and decrypt information. While his level of skill isn't defined it has been mentioned by Merlin, accepted as the most tech savvy of the Kingsman agents, that he couldn't break Harry's own personal data encryptions.
-Multilingual, it's not clear how many languages he speaks but I'll assume he knows several.
-His greatest ability by far is the fact that he will always look 1000% better than you in a suit. It's a heavy burden that rests upon his perfectly tailored shoulders.
Strengths/Weaknesses:
Strengths
-Incredibly capable spy, going by the sheer amount of time he's been in the business without dying or being found out as a spy for a secret organization
-All those abilities I listed because fucking overachiever Harry Hart
-Very observant and open to change in order to keep up with the times. Class means nothing to him in comparison to capable skills and the willingness to learn
-He's a goddamn wrecking ball in a fight
-Very handsome, much charming, wow
Weaknesses
-His temper blinds him to facts right in front of him until it's too late. This has caused him to miss a bomb on a man he was interrogating until it was too late. He also nearly blew his his head off when he attacked Doctor Arnold while still gripped by the grief of losing a comrade and forced Valentine to blow the scientist's head off
-He's no spring chicken, his reflexes while still sharp might not be as sharp as a young man in his prime
-His name is so alliterative he should be a marvel character I mean seriously
-His head is very shootable, definite drawback
Items:
-1 (one) Bespoke custom tailored suit, lined with a bulletproof material, somewhat battered and bloodstained
-1 (one) Kingsman signet ring, capable of delivering an incapacitating electrical shock
-1 (one) pair of black Oxford shoes (without brogueing ), with a knife concealed in the tip of the right shoe, coated in a fast acting and very deadly neurotoxin
-1 (one) watch, loaded with darts capable of inducing memory loss in the short term as well as sedative darts

SAMPLES
Network Sample: [ It took Harry some time to decide what sort of first impression to make upon the community of the Moira, weighing the options of being well open about things or to put up a smokescreen. He chooses the latter because it's easier to learn things this way. Text also obscures tone, something he prefers. ]
I find myself rather out of my depth in this situation. Space is certainly not my forte in the slightest, unless there are aliens in need of a well tailored suit. Most of my experience with space ships has been through peripheral experience with science fiction.
My name is Harry Hart, I work as a tailor in London. Or I did previous to making my unexpected trip through the Ingress.
I'm not sure what use I'll provide but I promise that I will do my utmost carry my own weight come hell or high water. We are all quite literally in the same boat, it would be a shame to fall to pieces because we couldn't all get along.
Prose/Action Sample: The flight the America always felt too long, the distance stretching out left him with the unpleasant sensation that he was losing time better spent doing something else. He once again cursed Richmond Valentine silently, damning him for choosing now of all moments to start his plot in earnest. The situation in London needed his attention, he had to try and fix the problem with Eggsy before he lost control of the situation entirely. Left unattended Harry dreaded what the boy might do next to ruin all the effort he had put into his Kingsman training.
Looking out the window, Harry rubbed his face. He could feel a headache forming in the place right behind his eyes. It was the stress. The fact that they still didn't know Valentine's end game combined with the pure frustration of knowing he was going to have to do irrevocable damage to his pride in order to put things back on track. Eggsy would never be allowed back into Kingsman, Arthur had made that quite clear. Though the skills he'd earned in training would have various other uses.
He had talent, all the makings of greatness in him. If only he would stop to think about the things beyond his gut reactions. Harry tried not to think about how much Eggsy took after his father. Lee Unwin had died trying to become an agent and Eggsy had thrown it away over a fucking dog.
A small warning came up on his glasses, warning Harry that the flight would be landing soon. There would be time enough to sort Eggsy out after he figured out what was happening at the church.
